Open tour buses from Hoi An to Saigon vary in their routes, some routes travel inland through Dalat and others south through Mui Ne. Book open tour tickets through your hotel or in town at a travel agency. Otherwise, take a public bus from the main Hoi An bus station on 861 284; 96 Ð Hung Vuong or the northern bus station on Ð Le Hong Phong for Danang (8000 VND). From the Danang, there are more open tour buses, but also private vans that travel south to Ho Chi Minh City hosted through a company called Mailinh Express. Beware, however, as these drivers go very fast.

Danang’s Central Train Station is located at 823 810; 202 Ð Haiphong street and is served by the Reunification express with a train that departs five times per day for Saigon: at 4:48 am, 9:11 am, 10:46 am, 1:24 pm, and 9:56 pm.
